Modern, innovative and flexible in design, the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre (MECC) is an ideal venue for a variety of performances - international or local, large-scale or intimate.
The Centre has a variety of spaces available to suit your needs depending on your performance requirements. This state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped with lighting, a fly tower and audio facilities.
Our professional team of audio, lighting and sound technicians, experienced in a comprehensive array of state-of-the-art technology can assist you with all of your performance requirements.
Performance Hire Options
The Centre's Auditorium can seat up to 1090 people or (461 in a small configuration) in a single tiered raked structure. Our two Plenary Halls can seat up to 1800 people theatre style when fully extended. The option of utilising one hall for a smaller and more intimate performance can also be arranged.
