Get your gear and groove on at Mackay's biggest dance party
White clothes and your best dance moves are all you need to bring to this weekend’s (Saturday, July 17) biggest dance party, The Summer Bright White Party, at the MECC.
More than 700 party goers attended last year’s White Party and dressed up as brides, tennis players, Dennis Lillee look-alikes and Indian gurus.
Prizes are once again on offer for those who go the extra mile with their white outfit, thanks to ID Dezine.
Convention Precinct & Events manager Mark Fawcett said this year’s party is going to be bigger and better than last year with two of Australia’s leading DJs, JimmyZ and Mark Dynamix tearing up the dance floor with their mix of funk, trance, jungle and party rhythms.
“Mark Dynamix was named number 1 DJ in Australia in 2008 and has played at music festivals such as the Big Day Out, The End in London, The Love Parade in Berlin and much more,” he said.
“In addition to Mark we have Jimmy Z who is known for his diverse and eclectic range of party music which will guarantee an electric party atmosphere for all attending,”
“If you want to get closer to the action we currently have special limited VIP tickets available for purchase which will give you access to the artists and complimentary drinks.”
Brand new to the popular dance party is a second room thanks to sponsors Bluewater Sound and Lighting, which will contain cutting-edge trance and party music from five local DJs including The Harthinator, DJ Jester, DJ Amos, DJ Mix 66 and DJ Biggsy.
Music is not the only entertainment for the night; the event will also feature gravity defying aerialists and hostess with the mostest Anita Service.
When the White Party’s over, revellers can continue to party on into the small hours at the after party at Platinum Lounge, simply present your White Party wristband to receive entry and surprises.
