MECC wins top gong
The Mackay Convention and Entertainment Centre has collected two major awards at the 2010 North Queensland Regional Architecture Awards.
The centre, which opened in July 2009, received a Regional Commendation and will now go to the State awards in July. Architects Cox Rayner was also praised for its work, winning the Walter and Oliver Turnbridge Award for Building of the Year in the North Queensland Region.
