The day will start off with a welcome to country by Bundjalong Kunjiel, an award winning aboriginal dance group who will also be offering free dance workshops later in the day. Country and Western star Tommy Contor will be returning to Mackay to headline this fabulous day of family entertainment. Joining Tommy on stage is rockabilly outfit Scottie Reh and Verity Vague. They’ve been wowing audiences on the Sunshine Coast and now we get the chance to see them live.
Joining them on stage will be multiinstrumentalist Stephen Rosenberg and The Fat Cigars playing seventies funk with a twist. There will also be markets and food stalls
along the Esplanade plus roving artists Sensory Circus Tribe to keep everyone entertained. Supported by Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal, bring the kids, a picnic, a rug and your big smile down to one of Mackay’s great beaches.
