STAGE LINE-UPS ROVING PERFORMERS CULINARY TENT ARTIST VILLAGE
The main event of the Mackay Region Festival of Arts. Last year saw a record crowd of 26,000 people attend. Thanks to G & S Engineering's generous support here is truly something for everyone and it is all free. Great family entertainment, top bands, wandering street entertainers, food and craft stalls selling the best local wares and two licensed areas. There are kid’s amusements and workshops for craft activities for all ages.
The Porters Blues & Roots Stage becomes the main music venue of the Wine & Food Day with an all star line up of independent artists playing original music from Mackay and around the nation. Kicking off at 11am with quality children’s entertainment, the Amazing Drumming Monkeys from Adelaide. The stage will wrap us with fantastic the stage finishes with Ross Wilson. Ross was the band leader of two of Australia’s most successful bands, Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock.
For those who like to hear a little more rock 'n ' roll, indie and funky music, there is the famous Mackay Airport Big Top Tent in Queens Park, which this year will feature melbourne based band The Atlantic Fall.
