This is your opportunity to taste some of the fantastic local produce from the Mackay region and learn a few tips about how to cook it from the best local chefs. And then back by popular demand Merv & Jan Smith owners of Adinfern Wines from Margaret River WA will give you a better understanding of your palate and learn the differences between bitterness, acidity, tannin and more with their fantastic wines. 11am: Cupcake For Kids! Francesa - Sugar Sirens Cakes MackayIf your kids are starting to climb the walls on weekends, then enrol them in a cupcake workshop especially for kids! The NEW Cupcakes For Kids Workshop at the Culinary Tent, Wine and Food Day will engage them for 1 sugar-filled hour where they learn to ice and decorate beautiful cupcake creations, under the specialised supervision of Sugar Sirens Cakes Mackay. Rest assured that you can take the cupcakes home, so you can reap the rewards too. Ticket price includes 1 free adult entry (to supervise) with a paying child, and in addition, your child receives a Festival Bakers Hat and Apron to wear and take home! plus the 2 cupcakes if they make it!! 5 yrs + only. |

1.30pm: Souths Leagues Club Chef - Ryan Hawkins & Adinfern Estate WinesBack for his 3rd consecutive year at the Culinary Tent, Ryan Hawkins will again create a mouth-watering meal in front of your very eyes. As what we can now call a 'Culinary Tent Regular', Ryan's delicious creations will not disappoint. Book in early 60 seats only, and once again this meal will be perfectly matched with the delightful wine of Adinfern Estate. |
2.45pm: Swedish Cheese Maker - Christian Nobel - Fromart Cheese & Adinfern Estate WinesFROMART® enables you to discover the exquisite flavours of Switzerland, carefully handcrafted by genuine Swiss cheese makers. 4pm: Nila De Silva - Saffron Star Cuisine & Adinfern Estate WinesLocal catering extraordinaire Nila De Silva of Saffron Star Cuisine, will be tempting your tastebuds in her session at the Culinary Tent this year. Nila caters for Formal Dinners, Cooking Classes, Lunches, and cocktail parties. Come to learn her tricks of the trade for your next dinner party!
