This year we are delighted to introduce you to the Mackay Professional Theatre and Music Season which boasts a range of eclectic professional theatre, music and dance. The Mackay Professional Theatre and Music Season is complemented by the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal’s Young People’s Theatre Season. Together, the two seasons mean that Mackay residents and visitors to our region can enjoy the very best in professional entertainment.
Coming to town this year are names that you know from TV and theatre, as well as acts to amuse, scintillate and stimulate. The acclaimed pianist David Helfgott will captivate audiences in August this year, while well known stars of stage and screen Amanda Muggleton, Val Lehman & Joan Sydney will tread the boards of the Entertainment Centre stage. Music fans will not be disappointed with this year’s offerings which feature percussion, jazz, orchestral performances and a bit of country and western.
Our venue offers so many ways for you to discover live performance. Whether it’s a play in the theatre, a cabaret in the Convention Centre or one of our renowned foyer shows there is quite simply something to appeal to all tastes and ages.
