Bowen Basin Symposium
The roles and responsibilities of Coal Geologists have changed markedly since the opening of the Bowen Basin that has weathered heady boom years and market down turns, particularly in the past 5 years since the last Symposium.
The Bowen Basin Symposium is held only once every five years, and 2010 will showcase industry examples of technical innovation and forward thinking about competitive coal and land use, environment and social issues that emerge from an ever changing landscape.
Technical papers, workshops and trade displays provide a benchmark for information relevant to explorers, producers and marketers of coal and natural gas.
The Symposium will be held at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre in Tropical North Queensland, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
